An overview of the PWA

Founded in early 1982, we are located in Melbourne, Australia. Our operations have seen us successfully complete assignments throughout the Asia Pacific, Australasian, US, African and European regions.

We have an extensive client base that cuts across the Mining, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, Utilities, Food & Beverage, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Plastics, Automotive and Defence sectors of the marketplace.

Our CEO Peter W. Atkin is British born and was educated at Drexel, Philadelphia. Graduating in 1966 with a BSc in Applied Mathematics and BAs in Psychology & Philosophy, he is a fully qualified Process Control Engineer and a proponent of LEAN manufacturing. His experience extends through the petrochemical, oil & gas, mining, pulp & paper, automotive assembly, metal refining & smelting, food and pharmaceutical industries and he has worked in Europe, the Middle East, North America, Africa and Asia. He formed the PWA Group in 1982 (initially called Peter W. Atkin & Associates) and now concentrates on process automation and corporate-wide process improvement implementation.
